Study design
The study Ekart et al. is focusing on individuals on haemodialysis and is based in Maribor, Slovenia. The principal aim of the study was to predict cardiovascular mortality in nondiabetic haemodialysis patients. The protocol of the study was in conformity with ethical guidelines and informed consent was obtained from each participant.
